Hang on a second while we grab that post for you.
Like the title suggests, this emotionally volatile captain's journal of mine is unabashedly up, down and inside out, showing-and-telling all that renders me amused, inspired and OR impassioned.
Often the thinker and always the dreamer, I found an overwhelming sense of peace when I accepted my life’s intense and relentless search as my lifestyle rather than as a lack of destination. And while this blog started out merely as a creative conduit for these meanderings, I’ve found comfort and inspiration in the like minds I’ve encountered here. - VV

Why are civil rights being proposed as state amendments and laws, hidden beneath state-governed agendas like health insurance? When is the govt going to grow a set of balls and make it a nationwide issue?
If marriage is so sacred how come 50% of you get divorced? I propose you are forced to stay with the same partner forever.
Jesus wouldn’t hate gays. Stop using it as fuel for your bigotry. This isn’t fair to the many Christians who actually adapt tolerance as an evolution of their faith. You make everyone look bad.
I secretly feel like everyone who doesn’t want to talk about it is against it but afraid to admit it. I’m proud of my stance and will stand up to anyone who tells me otherwise.
Also, thanks for taking the right away from Matt and me to share health insurance without the oh-so-sacred marriage license.

I feel like the world is out to shit on me today. I know - wah, wah, wah. But when did my opinion get downgraded? Over today, over this week. Bring on the three day weekend.

I looked up the second amendment in the US Bill of Rights this morning. It says, “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”. Nothing about vigilante justice. It was about protecting our country from revolt or invasion.
It’s crazy how this country interprets certain things so literally when it suits them and elasticizes other laws like this antiquated right to bear arms. I’m sick of hypocritical, cheating politicians telling me I’m promiscuous for wanting to use birth control, immoral if I ever decided to have an abortion, or telling my gay friends they’re not worthy of marriage, a “institution sacred between a man and a woman” held so sacred that 50% of said “Christians” break that sanctity on average. Hmmmmm… last time I checked, the “Bible” wasn’t a book of the governing body of this country. So many Americans seem to have forgotten).
Again, entertaining other countries who would accept my residence.

How can you prove it? Do you just ACCEPT it? I don’t mean just looking at public pages. I mean, I GET that part. But hacking into your email and deleting messages? It has happened once to me and once to my sister, in addition to my mother’s dating account getting hacked which was obviously this person IMHO. How do you be the better person in this situation? Send sheets of IP logins you’ve collected over the years to their HR at work? Just keep changing passwords? Ignore it?
So, so unfortunate. Uncalled-for. We just don’t care to think about this person yet when these minor things happen this person comes right back to the fucking surface. Live and let live, especially good people who cause no harm but to want to live their live independent of your antics. Had this person approached things differently lives could have been intertwined but their sheer meanness made it impossible and that one can never take back.

Nothing gets me more riled up than the anti-gay positions of most Republican candidates, which is usually tied to their religion. I won’t run on and on here but I will say I could never respect, let alone support a politician/party that thrusts their religious beliefs upon the entire country (even worse when they just play it up to attract those who agree) and attempts to entwine such beliefs with the fabric of our nation. Such bigotry and hatred— and the amount of support it has from some of the people of this nation— has dissolved my pride in it over the years. It breaks my heart into a million pieces to see it.

I’m going to try and get some of my writing published on hellogiggles.com. Since I’m now calling myself a “freelance writer” albeit industry stuff, I think I am good enough - I know I am - and evocative enough - to write something worth sharing! I am such a huge fan of the site and the writers they employ and love their empowerment of their own audience to provide content. So smart!! Wish me luck…

that i found online last night - cute - but it just took over my screen here at work. i’ll figure it out later!
living in a lot of places allows you to meet wonderful people at each stop. i have had the pleasure of connecting - originally through music - with a new friend here who just GETS me. there is nothing better than having a person who is on your side because he/she is on that same side on her own life. if nothing else, i have accumulated a rare group of amazing people i’m proud consider me their friend. that is all. thank you for listening to me and making me feel normal (relatively). x
on days when i want to punch someone in the face it’s really difficult to not punch other people in the face by accident.
whenever someone dies it makes me extra sad because since i’ve been a kid the literal notion of Heaven didn’t make sense to me. instead i’ll have to accept that we become one with the earth and our particles and energies are both recreated and also live on as we’ve exchanged literal parts of us with everyone we interact with in this life. to me that makes a lot more sense than pearly gates.
